Four ideas for Stress Awareness Month
Posted on 6th March 2020 at 16:10
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992. During this annual thirty day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country will join forces to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. This is a great opportunity for companies to offer their workforce something to help with their stress levels - what do you have planned?
Stress and Resilience Workshops

Our workshops gives everyone the strategies to build resilience and to cope with any type of stress before it happens, whether at home or at work.
At the beginning of the session the attendees are told that this workshop won’t take away the causes of stress or the challenges they face. Instead, it will allow them to build resilience, manage their own stress levels and re-structure the way they think about difficult or challenging situations. It will also give them powerful techniques that they can use at any time they are stressed, to calm down. One of the most important exercises taught is a meditation technique that they can practice at home for 10 minutes a day. This will increase everyone’s resistance to stress, naturally build resilience and could also lead to increased productivity at work. Each attendee receives comprehensive workshop notes and access to audio tracks of some of the mindfulness exercises and a special stress hypnotherapy track.

Office Yoga
Yoga is a brilliant form of exercise and particularly suited for easing stress. Many companies are able to come into your offices to run a regular or one off session - there even some who offer "desk yoga"! The sessions seem to be very popular, with many forward thinking companies running a weekly yoga lesson for their workforce (either before work or during lunchtime). Tai-Chi
Tai Chi is perhaps the most effective way to develop balanced health for the body and the mind. It develops:
Improved overall health
Calmness and focus of mind
Increased energy
Suppleness, strength, co-ordination, balance, and agility
Relaxation and freedom from stress
Strengthening of the internal functions of the body, such as the immune system, metabolic functions, and cardiovascular system
Understanding of the body's processes and self-healing
Harmony with the natural laws of human life

Office Massage
Chair massage: the perfect antidote to workplace stress, pain and tension.
Performed through clothes and without oil, it’ll leave your team relaxed, refreshed and ready to tackle their to-do list.
